Offering Namaz on Road Issue: Voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in the country is going to be held on April 19. Earlier, the issue of offering Namaz on the road has once again come into discussion. Especially, in Meerut city of Uttar Pradesh, the Muslim community has raised its voice regarding this. There is a ban by the administration on offering Namaz outside Idgah and mosques in Meerut. Now the Muslim community is planning to approach the Supreme Court against this ban.
Muslim community appealed to the President against this decision of Yogi government Draupadi Murmu Have also written a letter to. Along with this, the Muslims of the city have also informed the National Minorities Commission about the ban. No response of any kind has been received yet from the President and the Commission.
‘Government and administration should respect all religions’
On this matter, Meerut city Qazi Jainus Sajideen alleges that for the last 10 years, Muslims are being stopped from offering Namaz on the roads outside Idgah and mosques. On the other hand, all the events of Hindu society like Kanwar Mela are being held on the streets. Therefore, the government and administration should respect all religions. Muslims should also get their rights.
‘There are more people at Eid and Jumma prayers’
Qazi Jainus says that on his behalf, letters have been written several times to the UP government and the district administration in this matter. Despite this, till date no step has been taken by the government and administration to provide any relief to the Muslim community. Qazi argued that the Eid prayers are held twice a year, especially at the Eidgah. At the same time, Friday prayers are also offered in the mosque every Friday. Because of this, a large number of people come to offer prayers on these special days, for whom there is no space inside the mosque to offer namaz. Because of this, Namaz has to be offered outside on the road.

He also announced to vote in favor of one candidate.
