Baby elephant was wandering in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, employees rescued


Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve: A one and a half year old baby elephant was being seen for the last two days in the villages adjacent to Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Chandia and Katni in Madhya Pradesh. There was an atmosphere of panic among the villagers after seeing the baby wild elephant. The forest staff was trying to rescue the baby elephant. As a result, the baby elephant was rescued at 11 am today with the help of four elephant teams and more than 100 employees.

According to Chief Forest Conservator Amit Dubey, the age of the rescued elephant is about one and a half years. Information was received from the villagers that a baby elephant was roaming in the villages adjacent to Barwara and Chandia forest range of Katni district. After receiving information from the villagers, the team of Bandhavgarh Tiger River started preparations for the rescue after taking permission from Bhopal. Four elephant teams and more than 100 employees were deployed for the rescue of the baby elephant.

Rescue done at 11 am
The elephant team and staff of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve and Katni Umaria safely rescued the baby elephant from Gudhakalan at 11 am today. The baby elephant is being monitored. Currently, efforts are being made to find out whether this baby elephant belongs to Bandhavgarh Tiger River or has got separated from the herd from Chhattisgarh.
