Atishi government’s announcement regarding DTC employees before Delhi elections, took this big decision on salary

Delhi News: Before the Delhi Assembly elections, Chief Minister Atishi has made a big announcement regarding DTC employees. CM said that the government has taken a historic decision to increase the salaries of contract drivers and conductors of DTC.

Chief Minister Atishi said that instead of Rs 21,918 per month, DTC contract drivers will now get Rs 32,918 per month and contract conductors will get Rs 29,250 per month. He said that this salary increase will cost Rs 222 crore, the entire expense of which will be borne by the Delhi government. CM further said that the AAP government has always been working to provide better facilities to DTC contract drivers and conductors and will continue to do so in future also.

‘DTC buses play an important role in running the city’
CM Atishi said that DTC buses in Delhi are the lifeline of Delhi. It plays an important role in the economy of Delhi. Every morning in Delhi, people leave for work from different parts and cover long distances. Children go to school and college. In all this, DTC bus service plays an important role in running the city.

Drivers-conductors had put forward demands
CM Atishi said that at present there are 4564 contractual drivers in DTC and 17,850 contractual conductors. All of them had many demands regarding their working conditions. He also went on strike a few days ago. When he went on strike, there was a long discussion with him on behalf of the Delhi government. Drivers-conductors put forward many of their demands before us, many of which are absolutely justified. For this, I would like to thank the drivers-conductors of DTC that they believed our assurances and ended their strike and started running DTC buses again so that the economy of Delhi can run properly.

Now the proposal will go to LG
Chief Minister Atishi Said that, now this proposal will go to LG and I have full hope that in the coming 1-2 months, the salary of DTC drivers and conductors will be increased from Rs 21918 as per their grade pay. Under this, conductors will be in pay-grade level 2 and their basic pay will be Rs 19200 and grade pay will be Rs 1900. And overall his monthly salary will increase to Rs 29250. Driver pay matrix will be at level 3. His basic pay will be Rs 21700 and grade pay will be Rs 2000 and his salary will increase to Rs 32918.
