The Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh Police has received inputs that some of Atiq’s close friends, lodged in Naini Jail, have ordered operatives to target the three shooters in any way. For this, orders have been given to attack the shooters only in the presence of the police.

The STF has received inputs that the way Atiq and Ashraf were killed in the presence of the police, the three shooters can be targeted so that the message that Atiq’s henchmen are alive is given as revenge for Atiq-Ashraf.

All three accused are in remand

All the three accused in the Atiq-Ashraf murder case are currently in police remand. All three have been kept in the police line at this time. After getting the input of the murder, these three are not being taken out anywhere.

On 15 April, Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were shot dead in front of media cameras outside Colvin Hospital in Prayagraj. Both were brought to the hospital for medical examination under police protection. The shooters who arrived in the guise of a journalist outside the emergency of the hospital opened fire and killed both of them. The police arrested three shooters from the spot.

On April 19, the police produced all the three accused in the court, where their remand was sought. The court has sent all the three accused in remand for 4 days. All three are being questioned. He is to be produced in the court on 23 April.
