Xiaomi’s name is also included in these apps, which has been downloaded more than 100 crore times.
Microsoft’s Threat Intelligence team has named it Dirty Stream Attack. These apps can even give hackers access to the device by tampering with the settings of the users’ phones. In this way, all the data present in the smartphone can be easily hacked by a hacker and it can be misused. Apart from Xiaomi, the name of the other app is WPS Office.
Update apps immediately
Xiaomi’s app has been downloaded more than 100 crore times, while WPS Office has been downloaded more than 500 million times. However, the big thing is that the glitch in the apps has been fixed. Along with this, Microsoft has asked the app users to update them immediately.
Microsoft issues warning for Android users

Download apps only from trusted sources
One thing which is very important is that whenever you download any app, always download the apps from a trusted source. While giving permissions to apps, keep in mind whether that app really needs the permission being sought? If you unknowingly give permission to a wrong app, then hackers get access to the device.
