Arambagh Medical College Resignation: Junior doctors are on hunger strike since October 6 in protest against the rape-murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata. Meanwhile, supporting the junior doctors sitting on hunger strike in Dharmatala, 38 doctors of Arambag Medical have warned of mass resignation. He has sent his resignation letter to Swasthya Bhavan.

Two more new doctors joined the hunger strike of junior doctors in North Bengal Medical College. One of them alleged on Friday night that the police was trying to end the strike by putting pressure on his family. But they will not come under this pressure. WB Chief Secretary emailed the status report and requested to withdraw the hunger strike.

Kolkata HC grants bail to nine protesters
The Kolkata High Court granted interim bail to nine protesters who were arrested for raising slogans of ‘we want justice’ on October 9 outside the Durga Puja pandal over the rape-murder incident at RG Kar Hospital. On Thursday, the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate in Alipore had sent nine people to police custody for seven days. The court says that the purpose of their demonstration was not to spread hatred, hurt religious sentiments or engage in anti-national activities.

deteriorating condition of doctors
On the night of October 10, the condition of a trainee doctor, Aniket Mahato, became critical, after which he was admitted to the hospital after RG. According to the hospital, at present the condition of Aniket Mahato is critical, but stable. A team of 5 doctors is keeping an eye on him. Apart from this, the condition of the remaining 6 doctors is also continuously deteriorating, but they have not been admitted to the hospital yet. A doctor said that despite his health deteriorating, he has decided to continue the strike. An ambulance is deployed near the strike site.
