New Delhi: Superstar Amitabh Bachchan hurt himself during the shoot of his upcoming movie ‘Project K’, in March. He was in Hyderabad filming an action scene when he shattered his rib cartilage and tore a muscle in his right rib cage. The actor missed out on work and meet and greets in order to rest at home due to the injury. Big B recently went outside to shoot for an advertisement while also posting on his blog, “off to work.. a few limps and slings apart.. but striding on.”
Although he has begun work, the actor is recovering slowly, so it will be some time before he can visit the Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Project K’ sets again. According to ETimes, a family friend said, “Bachchan saab wants to get back to normal shooting soon. But the healing process is slow. One cannot take risks at his age.”
Big B is very active on social media, and after the accident, he updated his fans about the same on his blog.
He wrote, “In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured, rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage, canceled shoot, did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home.” He further added, “Strapping has been done and rest has been advocated, yes painful, on movement and breathing, will take some weeks they say before some normalization will occur. Some medication is also on for pain. So all work that was to be done has been suspended and canceled dropped postponed for the moment until healing occurs.”
Amitabh Bachchan most recently appeared in ‘Uunchai’ alongside Anupam Kher, Parineeti Chopra, and Boman Irani. Next he has ‘Project K’ with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani.
He will also be seen in the remake of the hit Hollywood film ‘The Intern’ with Deepika Padukone.
