Amit Shah will go to Bihar, know why he will visit the inscription of Emperor Ashoka in Sasaram?

Amit Shah Bihar Visit: In order to review BJP’s election preparations, Amit Shah has been going to Bihar once every month for the last few months. In this sequence, he is going to visit the state once again on 2 April. During this, Amit Shah will visit Sasaram and Nawada parliamentary constituencies.

Sasaram’s visit is very important in this. Here Amit Shah will go to see the short inscriptions installed by King Emperor Ashoka of the Mauryan dynasty. This is the only inscription of Bihar among the short inscriptions put up by Emperor Ashoka. Amit Shah’s visit here is going to give a big political message.

What is message?

In fact, the BJP had also organized a movement last year regarding this inscription located on the sandalwood hill adjacent to Sasaram. What happened was that the place of this short inscription about 2300 years old was occupied by building a mausoleum for about 20 years. Despite repeated requests from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to the local administration, this encroachment could not be removed. Regarding this, on October 1 last year, Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Council and BJP’s Legislative Councilor Samrat Chaudhary had also organized a movement.

After this movement, the Archaeological Survey of India once again requested the local administration to remove this encroachment, after which the encroachment was removed on November 30 last year and the short inscription again came under the possession of the Archaeological Survey of India. This miniature edict of Emperor Ashoka has been a protected building since 1917. In connection with the promotion of Buddhism, Emperor Ashoka had established these inscriptions in different parts of the country.

What is the significance of Amit Shah’s visit?

Amit Shah’s visit to the symbols associated with Emperor Ashoka is also important because the Kushwaha community in Bihar considers itself a descendant of the Maurya dynasty and Emperor Ashoka along with Chandragupta Maurya was the most glorious king of this dynasty. This is the reason why BJP leader Samrat Chaudhary, who himself comes from the Kushwaha community, was at the forefront of the movement to free this inscription from encroachment.

The number of Kushwaha voters in Bihar is about 6.5 percent. If Kurmi voters are included in this, then this number crosses 10 percent. The Kurmi and Koeri communities in Bihar are commonly known as Luv Kush. This is the reason why BJP is preparing to bring Upendra Kushwaha, who recently left JDU and formed his new party, with it.
