America imposed sanctions on Russia, said – Putin will have to pay serious economic and diplomatic cost

In a press release issued by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, it has been said that Russia will have to pay a serious price for the brutal and needless attack on Ukraine.

Committed to ensuring that the Russian government will pay a serious economic and diplomatic price for an invasion of Ukraine, a sovereign and democratic state. The US Treasury Department has imposed sanctions, blaming Putin and three of his aides for the attack.

America imposed sanctions on Russia

Foreign Minister Antony Blinken (Ukraine) has said that in coordination with allies and partners, we are imposing sanctions on President Vladimir Putin and three members of Russia’s Security Council directly blaming Ukraine for the invasion. In addition to Putin, Foreign Affairs Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, and Deputy Defense Minister and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov have been acted upon. Blinken said the US had made several efforts to address mutual security concerns and avoid unnecessary conflict and human suffering, but Vladimir Putin rejected the good faith efforts of our allies and partners.

‘Russia will have to pay a serious economic price’

US Secretary of State Blinken further said that in response to this aggression on Ukraine, the Treasury Department has nominated Russian President Putin and Foreign Minister Lavrov for sanctions. Shoigu and Gerasimov are also involved in this. He said that these people have been determined to operate the Russian economy and defense related material. He said the US Treasury Department has already nominated eleven members of the Russian Security Council for sanctions. If Russia does not stop its war campaign against Ukraine, we will impose more sanctions in the future.
