New York: Former US President Donald Trump reached a New York court on Monday. This case is related to the porn star with whom Trump’s relationship came to light. Trump is accused of paying one lakh 30 thousand dollars to the porn star to hide this matter.

What is the whole matter?

This is the first criminal case related to any former president of the country and also the first of four cases involving Trump. The case of Trump giving money to porn star Stormy Daniels dates back to 2016. At that time, it was revealed that Trump was having an affair with a porn star and it is alleged that he had paid Stormy 1,30,000 dollars to hide it.

The former President’s company gave this money to his lawyer Michael Cohen, who paid it to the porn star on Trump’s behalf. The lawsuit is moving forward at a time when Trump is also a possible candidate for the Republican ticket for the presidential election this year.

There may be some legal arguments before jury selection begins. When that happens, dozens of people are called into the courtroom to begin the process of finding 12 jurors and six alternates. Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 serious counts of falsifying business records. Prosecutors say the payments to Cohen were misreported as legal fees to conceal Trump’s true purpose. At the same time, Trump’s lawyers say that this was actually a legal expense and there was no cover-up in it. (input language)
