Many amazing features are going to be available in Google’s upcoming mobile operating system Android 15. Google may present its upcoming operating system at Google I/O 2024 to be held next month. In this new operating system, many features will be upgraded compared to the previous version. According to the emerging reports, the upcoming Android 15 can support the new wireless charging feature. Through this feature, users will not need a charger to charge their phone.

New type of wireless charging technology

Google can add NFC wireless charging feature solution in Android 15. This NFC based wireless charging solution first came into discussion in 2020. This feature works when two devices are kept together at a maximum distance of 2 centimeters. This charging solution based on Near Field Communication i.e. NFC will be different from the magnetic wireless charging feature. At present, this technology is not available in any mobile platform, but after the launch of Android 15, smartphones with this feature can come in the market.

According to the report of Android Authority, this feature has been seen in beta version 1 of Android 15, which has been rolled out recently. NFCcharging is seen in the internal software coding of this version, which is used for near field wireless charging solution. NFC WLC 2.0 can be found in Android 15, which was launched in 2021.

How will it work?

NFC wireless charging requires a small antenna in the mobile device, which is used to transfer power. When two mobile devices are placed at a distance of 1cm to 2cm, the device starts charging. This will be a kind of air charging solution, which will use NFC communication feature. In all the wireless charging solutions that have come so far, both the devices are kept glued together. To charge the device, a charger with a magnetic plate is required. Through NFC WLC, the devices can be charged without sticking them to each other.
