UP By-Polls 2024: The voting process for the by-elections on nine assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh started at 7 am on Wednesday. Voters have been leaving their homes since morning and reaching the polling booths to participate in the voting process. The time for voting in UP has been fixed till 6 pm. The administration has made strict security arrangements. Amidst the voting, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has issued a message to the voters.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav wrote on Twitter, ‘The efforts being made day and night for the voting process have made it clear that now voters will go to vote with double the enthusiasm. Results emerge only when not a single vote is divided or decreased. The conscious and courageous voters of Uttar Pradesh are coming out of their homes 100 per cent for their right to vote, which is the basis of every right.
Gave warning against those who tampered with the elections
The SP chief further wrote, ‘It is hoped that the Election Commission and the administration will conduct the elections in such a way that all the voters of Uttar Pradesh will thank and congratulate them. Those who want to tamper with the elections should keep in mind that voters and workers and officials of all political parties are deployed everywhere with their mobile phones to collect all the evidence, so that a solid basis can be formed for taking legal action tomorrow. Public consciousness is the warning.
Let us tell you that a total of 90 candidates have tried their luck on 9 seats in Uttar Pradesh. More than 36 lakh voters will exercise their franchise in the UP by-elections and elect their MLA. The nine seats on which by-elections are being held in UP include Ghaziabad, Meerapur of Muzaffarnagar, Khair of Aligarh, Kundarki of Moradabad, Katehari of Ambedkar Nagar, Karhal of Mainpuri, Phulpur of Prayagraj and Majhwan seat of Mirzapur.
