One day Akbar and Birbal were sitting and talking about the subjects. During this, Emperor Abkar said that Birbal, our subjects are very honest. Birbal immediately replied that, Jahanpanah! Not all people in any state are completely honest. The whole world is dishonest.

Birbal brought the truth of the people to the fore

Akbar got angry after hearing this statement of Birbal. He said, Birbal what are you talking about. Birbal said, I am telling the truth, King. If you doubt my point, then I can also prove my point. Seeing Birbal’s confidence, Akbar said to Birbal, it is okay! You prove your point to be true, then I will agree that the whole world is dishonest.

After getting Akbar’s order, Birbal also thought of a way to bring out the dishonesty of the entire people. Birbal knew that no one would do dishonesty openly. That’s why some different trick has to be found.

Birbal announced in the whole state that the king wanted to organize a huge feast. But he wants that the whole public should also contribute in this feast. You people are only requested that you all have to pour a glass of milk in a vessel. This much contribution from the subjects is enough for the king.

After announcing the feast, Birbal got big vessels placed at different places. But some people put milk in the vessel, some put milk mixed with water and some put only water. Because everyone had this in their mind that everyone is pouring milk, if I pour water or milk mixed with water then who will know.

By evening the milk had accumulated in the vessel. After this, Birbal along with Akbar and the cook reached the place where the pots were kept. But there was no milk in the vessel but white water. The cook said, King, this is not milk, but Sara’s whole water. There are hardly 2-3 liters of milk in this vessel, due to which its color is light white.

Akbar was also surprised to hear such a thing from the cook. They started thinking that I used to consider all my subjects very honest, but Birbal had rightly said that the whole world is dishonest. Akbar told Birbal that you were right. Now I have understood the reality.
