Airtel-VI failed in front of Jio, more than 41 lakh new users joined the company, know the rest – India TV Hindi

Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea and BSNL are the four major telecom companies of the country. However, in terms of user base, Reliance Jio outweighs all others. Jio currently has the highest number of users and their number is continuously increasing. The new report released by TRAI has revealed that 41.78 lakh new users of Jio have been added in the month of January.

In the last few months, the number of people using wireless services in India has also increased rapidly. By January 2024, the number of people using wireless services in India reached 1160.71 million, whereas in December 2023 the number was only 1158.49 million. The user base using wireless services increased by 0.19% in a month.

Airtel-VI failed in front of Jio

The month of January was the best for Jio. This month the company added 41.78 lakh users. Airtel added millions of customers but this number was much less as compared to Jio. Airtel added 7.52 lakh new users in January 2024. According to TRAI report, at present the number of Airtel users has reached 38.24 crore.

Vi is the third largest telecom company in the country. While the month of January was great for Jio and Airtel, the new year was also full of losses for Vi. In the new year, the company not only added new customers but also several lakhs of customers left the company. A total of 15.2 lakh users left Vi’s service in January 2024. Now Vi has a total of 22.15 crore users.

Number increased in rural areas

The number of wireless subscribers has increased in both rural and urban areas in the month of January. The number of wireless subscribers in urban areas has reached 633.96 million, while the number of mobile phone users in rural areas has reached 525.05 million. In the month of January, about 12.36 million users requested for mobile number portability.
