Shimla Municipal Election: The Congress gave a major blow to the BJP in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday (May 4). The Congress has won 24 seats in the elections to the 34-member Shimla Municipal Corporation. In comparison, the BJP had to be content with only nine seats, while the Communist Party of India-Marxist got one seat.

Sharing pictures with the winning candidates, Rajeev Shukla wrote in his tweet, “Amidst the Bajrang Dal controversy in Karnataka, all the winning candidates of the Shimla municipal elections of the Congress party went to Shimla’s Jakhu peak to visit Bajrang Bali.”
