The authority has issued a flood alert in many districts due to the melting of the glacier. He says that floods can make the situation worse. Therefore, move to a safe place before any danger.
59 people lost their lives
Local Disaster Management Authority Muhammad Qaiser Khan said, “If timely steps are not taken, there is a possibility that there may be loss of life and property in case of flood.” According to the latest figures, 59 people have lost their lives in the last five days due to rain in the province, including 33 children. At least 2876 houses and 26 schools have been damaged.
Terrible situation in 2022
The south-western areas of Balochistan are also suffering due to rain. There are limited resources to deal with the current situation but if the rains continue then the central government will be looked to for help. Earlier in the year 2022, due to heavy rains the rivers had swelled and at one time one-third of the area drowned due to which 1739 people were killed. There was also a loss of 30 billion dollars due to the flood. Generally monsoon season in Pakistan starts in June.
