Waris Pathan Raise Question to BCCI: Rivaba Jadeja, the BJP candidate from Gujarat’s North Jamnagar seat and wife of cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, is in the limelight in the Gujarat elections. Rivaba had used Ravindra Jadeja’s photo in the Indian team jersey in the election campaign poster. First of which your MLA strongly condemned and after that now this controversy has caught fire. Opposition parties are besieging Rivaba and Ravindra Jadeja in various ways. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen spokesperson Waris Pathan asked the BCCI whether promoting any political party in the Indian team jersey is not against the rules of the contract?
What did Waris Pathan say?
Waris Pathan tweeted and questioned whether wearing the jersey of the Indian cricket team and being involved in the promotion of a political party is not a breach of the player’s contract and is it not a conflict of interest as per the BCCI?
After the controversy escalated, the retweet of the screenshot of the poster by Ravindra Jadeja was removed from his Twitter handle. Also, that tweet has been deleted from Rivaba’s account as well.

BJP sidelined Dharmendra Singh Jadeja
Please inform that BJP has given ticket to Rivaba from North Jamnagar, but Rivaba has neither had any political experience before nor has she participated in any election before. This will be Rivaba’s first election for the post of MLA. BJP has given ticket to Rivaba bypassing sitting MLA Dharmendra Singh Jadeja. This step of BJP is surprising for everyone. But winning this election is going to be challenging for Rivaba as Ravindra Jadeja’s sister Nayaba is campaigning for Congress candidate from North Jamnagar seat itself.
Significantly, the elections to the Gujarat Assembly will be held in two phases on December 1 and 5. North Jamnagar seat is also included in the first phase of voting, so Rivaba has only a few more days left. Let us tell you that the counting of votes for the Gujarat Assembly elections will be done on December 8.
