Ashadh Gupt Navratri 2023, Date, Muhurat and 10 mahavidya Puja Importance: Devotees worship Mata Rani everyday. But talk about the special occasion of worship of Maa Bhagwati i.e. Navratri, then Navratri happens four times in a year. There are two Gupt Navratris and two visible Navratris. The Navratri that falls in the month of Magha and Ashadh is called Gupta Navratri. On the other hand, Navratri of Chaitra month is called Chaitra Navratri and Navratri of Ashwin month is called Sharadiya Navratri.

Difference between Gupta Navratri and Manifest Navratri
The Navratri that falls in the month of Chaitra and Ashwin is known as Prakat, Uday, Pramukh and Badi Navratri. On the other hand, the Navratri that falls in the month of Magh and Ashadh is called Gupta Navratri. Maa Bhagwati is worshiped at places like home-temple, pandal during Prakat Navratri and every person can do this worship. But in Gupta Navratri, 10 Mahavidyas are worshiped to get Gupta Tantric Siddhis and to fulfill wishes. Its meditation and worship is kept secret, that’s why it is also called Gupta Navratri.
When is Ashadh Gupta Navratri 2023
Gupta Navratri in the month of Ashadha will start from 19 June 2023. Ghatasthapana will be done on this day. The auspicious time for Ghatasthapana is 06:05-08:04 am.
Importance of worshiping ten Mahavidyas in Gupta Navratri
- First Mahavidya: Mother Kali is worshiped on the first day of Gupta Navratri. He is considered first among the 10 Mahavidyas. With the worship of Mata Kali, the seeker gets victory over the opponents and enemies.

mantra – Om Hree women, we are torn. - Third Mahavidya: On the third day the worship of the third Mahavidya Mata Tripura Sundari is done. She is also called Lalita or Raj Rajeshwari.
mantra- Om Hree Shree Tripura Sundriya Namah. - Fourth Mahavidya: On the fourth day of Gupta Navratri, the fourth Mahavidya Mata Bhuvaneshwari is worshipped. Worship of Mata Bhuvaneshwari is fruitful for the couple desirous of child happiness.
mantra- Hree Bhubaneshwariyai Hree Namah. - Fifth Mahavidya: Worship of the fifth Mahavidya Mata Chinnamasta takes place on the fifth day of Gupta Navratri. If her worship is done with a calm mind, then the mother is in a calm form and if the worship is done fiercely, then the fierce form of the mother is visible.
mantra – Shree Hree and Vajra Vairochaniyai Hree Phat Swaha. - Sixth Mahavidya: The sixth Mahavidya Mata is Tripura Bhairavi. By worshiping him one gets freedom from all the bondages of life.
- Seventh Mahavidya: Maa Dhumavati is worshiped in Gupta Navratri as the seventh Mahavidya. All the troubles go away by his meditation. The one who does his sadhna is called a great man and a perfect man.
mantra – Om Dhun Dhun Dhumavati Devyai Swaha: - Eighth Mahavidya: The eighth Mahavidya has been called Bagalamukhi. One gets freedom from fear by worshiping Maa Baglamukhi. At the same time, speech achievements are obtained.
mantra – Om Hree Bagulamukhi Devyai Hree Om Namah - Ninth Mahavidya: Matangi is the ninth Mahavidya among the 10 Mahavidyas. Their worship brings prosperity in the household life.
mantra- Om Hni O Bhagwati Matangeshwari Shree Swaha. - Tenth Mahavidya: Mata Kamala has been called the tenth Mahavidya. By worshiping them one gets wealth, woman and son.
