Punjab Politics: The Congress high command held talks with the Punjab Congress on Monday on the issue of opposition to the central government’s ordinance in the Rajya Sabha. In fact, party leaders led by Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Wedding, in a meeting with National President Mallikarjun Kharge, former President Rahul Gandhi and General Secretary KC Venugopal. Said that Congress should not support the ordinance. On the other hand, former Punjab President Navjot Singh Siddh said that, where there is ideological difference, there is no alliance.
Raja Vading said, AAP government in Punjab is sending our leaders to jail by misusing police and investigative agencies. In such a situation, supporting them will have a bad effect on the cadre. Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Pratap Singh Bajwa said that supporting AAP in Parliament is like sacrificing its cadre in Punjab. On the other hand, state in-charge Harish Chaudhary said that, we have given our opinion, the decision has to be taken by the high command.

Former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu said, we have put a one-line agenda in front of the high command. The question of supporting you does not arise. Significantly, Ajay Maken, Sandeep Dixit and Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa have already said that AAP should not be supported. Congress leaders even said that if the party opposes the ordinance, then the same mistake will be repeated as was done in Delhi by supporting the AAP party to form the government. However, in the meeting, a leader of the party also talked about opposing the ordinance citing the sentiments of the constitution.
