Uttarakhand Forest Fire: Forest fire has become a serious problem in Uttarakhand. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi held a high-level meeting with the DGP and Forest Department officials on Monday regarding what action needs to be taken to stop it in Uttarakhand. In this meeting, what further steps can be taken to control forest fires have been discussed with the officials. In which all departments have been instructed to work in coordination with each other and use all resources to control forest fire.
Chief Secretary Radha Raturi held a big meeting with officials on Monday to deal with the forest fire in Uttarakhand. In which necessary guidelines have been given to deal with fire. Apart from this, small size water tankers are being purchased for the hilly areas so that where big vehicles cannot reach, the work of extinguishing the fire will be done with the help of small pitthu tankers and pumps. Regarding this, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi while talking to ABP Live said that to deal with the forest fire in Uttarakhand, we have made an action plan in which officials of all departments will work together. We have also suspended the disaster management budget of all the district officers so that no one faces any problem.
Action will be taken against those who set fire to the forest
In this matter, State DGP Abhinav Kumar said that in view of the increasing incidents of forest fire, strict steps are being taken under which strict action will be taken against those who are found setting fire in the forests, along with the Gangster Act. Action will also be taken to confiscate their property. He further said that we have seen that incidents of deliberately setting fire in the forest have come to light at many places. We are considering these incidents as serious and will not spare those people who are causing damage to forest resources.
