Maharashtra News: Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Aditya Thackeray said on Wednesday that Mumbai is a part of Maharashtra and no one can take it. Aditya was asked questions by reporters on the Karnataka minister’s remarks in the Vidhan Bhavan premises. Karnataka Law Minister JC Madhuswamy had given a statement that Mumbai has the eligibility to become a Union Territory.
At present, the Winter Session of Maharashtra Legislature is going on in Nagpur. Former minister Thackeray said, “I feel that we should not give importance to such ministers. Mumbai is a part of Maharashtra and no one can take it.” He further said that it is necessary that peace be maintained between Maharashtra and Karnataka and law and order be maintained. He said, “Maharashtra is maintaining patience.”

Shiv Sena leader Thackeray also sought to know why Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is taking such an aggressive stand on the Karnataka-Maharashtra border issue. In a questioning tone, he said, “Assembly elections in Karnataka are drawing near and the ruling BJP is facing defeat, but is it right to create discord between the two states over these issues?” Both houses of the Maharashtra Legislature unanimously passed a resolution on Tuesday to “proceed legally” to include 865 Marathi-speaking villages in Karnataka in the state.
Aditya Thackeray comments on the political scenario of Maharashtra
Discussing the political scenario in Maharashtra, Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray said that not only are there allegations (of irregularities) against every new minister in the state, but evidence is also coming to the fore. He said, “If this illegitimate government had courage, it would have removed these ministers from the cabinet.” And he has accused Industries Minister Uday Samant of irregularities in some big projects.
