Anti Hijab Protest: The United Nations has voted on Wednesday to exclude Iran from the women’s rights organization. 29 members voted in favor
29 members of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) voted in favor, while 8 countries voted against it and 16 countries voted against it. Didn’t even vote. It has been said in the resolution that Iran is excluded from the membership of the commission with immediate effect. UN resolution states that the government of Iran "The continued use of force continues to undermine the human rights of women and girls, including the rights to freedom of expression, opinion and freedom."

The resolution further states that "The government of Iran implements policies contrary to the human rights of women and girls, as well as the commission’s mandate, and the use of the police force, which has resulted in the deaths of peaceful protesters, including women and girls."
