Microblogging site Twitter is filled with such appreciation posts for the film after its TV premiers.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is a remake of the Oscar-winning film ‘Forrest Gump’ starring Tom Hanks and Robin Wright. The film has been directed by Adavit Chandan, who also directed the superhit film ‘Secret Superstar’. Advait, Aamir and their team worked on ‘Laal Singh’ for more than 12 years. The film has heightened expectations but fell prey to the ‘Boycott trend’ which was ongoing at the time of the film’s release.
