SRH vs LSG: Sunrisers Hyderabad has defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 10 wickets. Lucknow had scored a respectable score of 165 runs while playing first. SRH batsmen did not even spend 10 overs to achieve this target. There was a partnership of 167 runs between Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. Travis Head played a brilliant inning of 89 runs in 30 balls, during which he hit 8 fours and 8 sixes. On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma scored 75 runs in just 28 balls. During this innings he hit 8 fours and 6 sixes. Both of them started hitting sixes and fours in a explosive manner from the very first over. Since Hyderabad won the match with 62 balls to spare and by 10 wickets, it has had a very bad impact on LSG’s net run-rate.
Chasing the target of 166 runs, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batsmen had crossed the 50-run mark in the fourth over itself and by the end of the powerplay over, the team had scored 107 runs. On one hand, Travis Head completed his fifty in 16 balls, while Abhishek Sharma played 19 balls to complete his half-century. Head and Abhishek had entered the field with the intention of making ghosts of bowlers like Aaj. Not even 10 overs were bowled in Hyderabad’s innings. Out of these, 7 overs were such in which 15 or more runs were scored.
148 runs came from fours and sixes
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s opening batsmen, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma had a target of 166 runs. He has scored 167 runs playing just 58 balls. On one hand, Head hit 8 fours and 8 sixes in his innings. Abhishek also created havoc by hitting 8 fours and 6 sixes. This fact is surprising that out of the 167 runs scored by SRH batsmen, 148 are the result of fours and sixes. Head and Abhishek have scored only 19 runs.
Hyderabad’s first win over Lucknow in IPL
The entry of Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League was in the year 2022. Since then, LSG has faced Sunrisers Hyderabad 4 times. Before Wednesday’s clash, SRH and LSG had come face to face thrice and Lucknow had won on all three occasions. But now Hyderabad has made its first win against LSG memorable. Lucknow Super Giants players will probably never forget this 10 wicket defeat.
