ISRO gave information about successful launch
ISRO said that the 44.4-metre-tall rocket lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Center at the pre-scheduled time of 11.56 am after a 25.30-hour countdown. After PSLV-C54 reached its intended orbit 17 minutes after launch, the Earth observation satellite or Oceansat was successfully separated from the rocket and successfully placed in the orbit.
ISRO said in a tweet, “PASSV-C54/EOS-06 Mission: The separation of Earth Observation Satellite (EOS)-06 has been successfully completed. The spacecraft is operating normally and the mission is in progress.”
Scientists will lower the rocket to place the other satellites accompanying PSLV-C54 in a different orbit and the exercise is expected to take two hours.
ISRO chairman said – we successfully achieved the target
In his address at the Mission Control Centre, ISRO Chairman S. “I am very happy to announce that the precise insertion of EOS-06 into the intended orbit has been successfully achieved,” Somnath said.
He said, “We also observed that the performance of the rocket was very good in all phases and tasks in this mission. Congratulations to the entire PSLV team for another successful mission in the series of its long journey.
The director of the mission said – the mission is not yet completed
SR Biju, the director of the entire mission, said, “The mission is not yet complete and we are waiting for the change of orbit of the upper stage with the remaining eight satellites.” He said that the EOS-6 satellite has been placed in an ‘as accurate as possible’ orbit.
Let us tell you that EOS-6 is the third generation satellite in the Oceansat series. It aims to continue the services of the Oceansat-2 spacecraft with enhanced payload specifications as well as application areas.
