Bolsonaro Supporters Protest: Left-wing leader Lula Da Silva has defeated right-wing Bolsonaro in Brazil’s presidential election. Lula got 50.9 percent of the votes in the election while Bolsonaro got 48 percent. At the same time, Bolsonaro and his supporters are not able to digest this defeat. He has not accepted defeat, nor has he congratulated the winning President Lula da. The situation has now become such that the supporters of Bolsonaro have started violent demonstrations in Brazil.
According to a Reuters report, Bolsonaro’s supporters attacked the Federal Police Headquarters in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. Supporters draped Brazilian flags around their bodies. Police released stun grenades and tear gas shells to disperse the crowd. After this, supporters of Bolsonaro set fire to nearby buses and cars.

On this whole incident, the Federal Police said that with the help of security forces near the headquarters, an attempt was made to control the situation. Earlier on Monday, the federal electoral court certified the October 30 election victory of Lula da Silva, Bolsonaro’s leftist rival, as president. At the same time, till now Bolsonaro has neither accepted defeat from Lula nor has he formally transferred power.
