India Vs Pakistan: The competition between India and Pakistan has a different status in the cricket world. Whenever there is a match between the two countries, its discussion remains on the zumba of cricket lovers around the world. But for the last 10 years, the match between India and Pakistan is seen only in ICC events. Team India’s captain Rohit Sharma, however, is fully prepared to play a bilateral series with Pakistan.
The cricket of both the countries is also facing the brunt of the bad relations between India and Pakistan. Rohit Sharma has now taken a step forward in the direction of improvement. Rohit Sharma said, “If I had the option, I would definitely do it. The board and the government have to take a decision. We go where we are told to go. If the board goes ahead with playing the series against Pakistan, then we have no problem.
Rohit Sharma has said this when he had come to talk to the media in the press conference a day before the clash against Pakistan in the Asia Cup. Rohit Sharma was asked about the bilateral series between India and Pakistan. Rohit Sharma also answered this directly in words.
Last series played in 2012
In 2012, Pakistan toured India for a three-match ODI series. After this series, no bilateral series was played between the two countries. In fact, the deteriorating relations between India and Pakistan started only after the 2008 Mumbai attack.
After the Mumbai attacks, the IPL contracts of Pakistani players were also terminated. Even now the BCCI does not give place to the Pakistani cricketers in the players’ auction for the IPL.
