CAT 2024 results released, 14 students got 100 percentile

The result of Common Admission Test i.e. CAT 2024 was released late on Thursday night. These results have been declared by the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. To check their result and scorecard, candidates will have to visit the official website iimcat.ac.in. Let us tell you that 14 candidates have got 100 percentile in this result. It is worth noting that this year 3.29 lakh candidates had registered for CAT exam. However, only 2.92 lakh students took the exam.

14 candidates got 100 percentile

Engineering students are making waves in CAT 2024 results. In these results, 14 candidates have secured 100 percentile, out of which 13 are engineers. If we look at the gender wise top scorers, there are 13 men and one woman.

So many candidates got 99.99 percentile

If we look at the results, 29 candidates have secured 99.99 percentile. Of these, 25 belong to engineering and 4 to non-engineering background. At the same time, if we look at it gender wise, there are 27 men and two women. Apart from this, 30 students have got 99.98 percentile.

There were so many candidates category wise

Of the 3.29 lakh candidates who registered for CAT 2024, 67.53% were from General category, 16.91% NC-OBC, 8.51% SC, 2.25% ST, 4.80% EWS and 0.44% PwD category. Whereas, out of 2.93 lakh candidates, 67.20% were from general category.

What will happen next now?

After this, IIM will soon release the shortlist for the next stage, which will be based on CAT score and institute-specific criteria. Along with IIMs, 86 other non-IIM institutes will also use CAT 2024 scores for admission to their management programmes.
