Azamgarh News Today: Recently, innocent brother and sister had gone missing from Son Buzurg village of Raunapar police station area of Azamgarh. On Friday (December 13), there was a stir when the bodies of both the brothers and sisters were found in the pond. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem and started further action.
In this entire matter, the family members of the deceased children had filed a complaint at Raunapar police station on Thursday (December 12). On this, the police registered a missing case and started investigation. However, today a wave of mourning broke out in the family and the village after the dead bodies of both the innocent children were found.
Dead bodies of brother and sister found in the pond
In fact, six-year-old daughter Arhama and three-year-old Abdul Wadud of Mohammad Talib, resident of Son Buzurg village of Raunapar police station area of Azamgarh district, went missing mysteriously at around 9 am on Thursday.
When the children went missing, the family members searched extensively, but nothing was found. After which the family members informed this to Raunapar police station. The police had registered a missing case and were searching for him.
On Friday morning, the dead bodies of a brother and sister were found immersed in the water of a pond located about 150 meters from Son Buzurg village. The villagers informed the police about this. Police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. There is mourning in the family due to this incident.
‘Drowned while taking out a toy’
The victim’s family members told that when the children left the house yesterday morning, they had a toy in their hands. Due to the toy falling into the pond, the children fell into the water while taking it out, due to which they died. The bodies of both the children were found floating in the pond.
According to family members, children’s toys were also found in the same pond. People have expressed apprehension that the children might have come here while playing, as soon as they reached the pond shore, their feet might have slipped and the children might have died due to drowning in the pond.
Police engaged in investigation
Azamgarh SP Rural Chirag Jain said that yesterday information about the missing of two children was received by Raunapar police station, after which a case was registered and the police was busy searching for the children.
Superintendent of Police Rural Chirag Jain said that this morning the bodies of the missing children were found floating in a pond near the village, information about which was given to the police. Police of Raunapar police station reached the spot and are busy taking legal action.
