Let us tell you that the officials at the counting centers first started checking and counting the postal ballots, while the counting of EVM votes started at 8.30 am. There will be at least 20 rounds of counting of votes in each assembly constituency.

At the same time, counting of votes for 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand assembly elections started at 8 am on Saturday morning. Election Commission officials gave this information. Elections in the state were held in two phases on 13 and 20 November. Out of total 81 seats, voting took place in 43 constituencies in the first phase, while voting took place in 38 constituencies in the second phase.

An official said, “Counting of votes started at 8 am in all 24 centres. Postal ballots have been counted first. The counting of votes cast through ‘Electronic Voting Machine’ (EVM) started at 8.30 am. If we talk about the trends of the first 1 hour, then JMM alliance is ahead on 38 seats and BJP alliance is ahead on 31 seats.
