Delhi Metro And ASI Signed MoU: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is still trying its best to provide comfortable and better facilities to its passengers. In this series, DMRC signed an MoU with Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Under this agreement, DMRC will facilitate the sale of ASI commemorative tickets on its Momentum 2.0 Delhi Sarathi-Sarthi mobile app.
DMRC Principal Executive Director Anuj Dayal said that this MoU was signed in the presence of DMRC Managing Director Dr. Vikas Kumar and ASI Additional Director General (Administration) Anand Madhukar.
This initiative of DMRC aims to provide tourists a convenient and world-class travel and tourism experience in Delhi and the National Capital Region. DMRC and ASI will jointly develop an integrated QR-based ticketing system that will facilitate entry into Delhi Metro services and selected centrally protected monuments.
It is clear from this that tourists will no longer have to wander anywhere else to enter historical monuments like Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb etc. Tourists will now be able to buy tickets to see these monuments through Delhi Metro ticket booking app Momentum 2.0.
Till now, to see the archaeological heritage located in Delhi NCR, people had to go there and buy tickets, but now this will not happen. Now tickets for Delhi Metro as well as historical monuments can be purchased from the same platform.
promotion of cultural heritage
He said that DMRC and ASI will together make joint efforts to promote the rich cultural heritage of Delhi, which includes public campaigns, joint events and digital platforms. This agreement is an important step towards providing an easy and convenient ticketing solution for tourists and the general public.
