Shiv Sena UBT List: Former Maharashtra CM and Shiv Sena (UBT) President Uddhav Thackeray has announced his candidates for 65 assembly seats in the state. The first list was released on Wednesday (23 October). The name of his son and former minister Aditya Thackeray is also included in this list. He is again in the fray from Worli seat.
10 big things in Shiv Sena (UBT) list
- Aditya Thackeray has again been given ticket from Worli. He is the first member of the Thackeray family to enter electoral politics.
- Uddhav Thackeray has given ticket to Varun Desai against Baba Siddiqui’s son Zeeshan Siddiqui from Vandre East. Varun Desai is contesting elections for the first time. Zeeshan Siddiqui had won the election from this seat on Congress ticket. But now he has joined Ajit Pawar group. On October 12, his father Baba Siddiqui was shot dead.
- A candidate has also been announced against CM Eknath Shinde. The party has made Kedar Dighe the candidate from Kopri-Panchpakhari seat. Kedar Dighe is the nephew of late Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe.
- Uddhav Thackeray has given candidates on 13 seats in Mumbai. There are a total of 36 assembly seats here.
- Rahul Dnyaneshwar Patil has been made the candidate against Tanaji Sawant from Paranda seat. When there was rebellion in Shiv Sena, Tanaji had joined Eknath Shinde’s group.
- The party has announced candidates for seven seats in Marathwala. Raju Shinde has been fielded from Sambhajinagar West seat against Shinde’s close aide Sanjay Shirsat.
- In this list, the party has fielded its candidate from Mahim seat. MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray is contesting for the first time from Mahim seat. Uddhav Thackeray has given ticket to Mahesh Sawant from Mahim.
- The party has expressed confidence in 14 sitting MLAs in the first list.
- Rajan Vichare has been fielded from Thane. This area is CM Eknath Shinde It is considered to be the stronghold of.
- There will be some changes in the first list. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said that there are some mistakes in the first list, which will be rectified.
Let us tell you that under the seat sharing agreement in MVA, an agreement has been reached between Uddhav Thackeray, Congress and Sharad Pawar on 270 seats. 18 seats will be distributed among other allies, which will include parties like SP, AAP and Left.
