Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra filed nomination for the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election on Wednesday (October 23, 2024), after which Union Minister Giriraj Singh launched a major attack on the Congress. During the nomination of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, she was accompanied by Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, her husband Robert Vadra and other national and state level leaders of the party. Actually, Priyanka Gandhi is going to start her election journey with the nomination of Wayanad by-election.

Before nomination, Priyanka Gandhi’s huge road show in Wayanad started from Kalpetta at around 11:45 am on Wednesday. While addressing the public meeting she said that this is my new beginning. For the first time in 35 years, she has come to seek support for herself. People should give them a chance. Their responsibility is to give recognition to the people. She has come to Wayanad to become a member of the people’s family. His brother has traveled eight thousand kilometers on foot. These are their values.

Priyanka Gandhi said that people should tell what their problem is. She will reach people’s homes to understand their problems. He expressed his gratitude to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for making him the candidate from Wayanad. “I am very grateful to Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge for giving me the privilege of becoming the candidate from Wayanad.”
