Let us tell you that the police have registered a case against one person in connection with the violence and have detained about 30 people. One person had died in this violence. Bahraich Superintendent of Police Vrinda Shukla told reporters, ‘There was tension in Maharajganj area under Mahsi tehsil. When a procession was passing through a Muslim-dominated area, a person from another community was allegedly attacked, resulting in his death. After the incident, the police have detained about 30 people. Efforts are underway to restore normalcy in all the areas affected by the unrest.

He said that adequate police force has been deployed in the area, and by looking at the CCTV footage of the violence-hit areas, unruly elements are being identified, and strict action will be taken against them.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath Condemned the violence and said the culprits will not be spared. The Chief Minister directed the administration to make adequate arrangements and get the idol immersed on time and to communicate with religious organizations.
