Under the PM Internship Scheme starting from October 12, youth aged between 21 to 24 years who have studied 10th or above will be able to do internship in renowned companies of the country. Applications will be accepted till 25th October. After this, the internship of the selected candidates will start from December 2. Toll free number 1800-116-090 has been started to resolve any problems or complaints arising during internship. In this, any kind of complaint can be made regarding the environment in the company and any kind of complaint that happens during the internship. These complaints will be resolved by the Central Government.
Who can apply
Indian youth aged between 21 to 24 years who are not doing full time job anywhere can apply under this scheme. However, youth whose parents or spouse are in government jobs or who are studying full time education courses cannot apply. However, students enrolled in online or distance learning programs can apply for internship. One’s annual income should be more than Rs 8 lakh. Also, if any member of the family is an employee of the Central or State Government, he will also not be eligible for this scheme.
Reservation system will remain in force
In the general budget, the Central Government had announced this scheme with the aim of giving internship to one crore youth in renowned companies in the next 5 years. According to the information, a target has been set to provide internship to 1,25,000 youth in the financial year 2025. The reservation policy of the Central Government will be applicable in the entire scheme including this pilot. The Central Government will give a lump sum amount of six thousand rupees to the candidates selected in this scheme.
It is necessary to have this qualification
Under the scheme, youth who have studied in high school and above and have ITI certificate, diploma from Polytechnic Institute or have studied courses like BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BCA, BBA, B. Pharma will be able to apply. Presently, through the call centre, people who are eighth pass have also expressed their desire. Who is out of the scheme
Youth who have obtained degrees from institutions like IIT, IIM, National Law University, IISER, NID and Triple IT will not be able to apply for internship. Apart from this, those who have CA, CMA, CA, MBBS, BDS, MBA or any other professional master’s degree or above, they also cannot apply.
Those taking benefit of government scheme will not be able to apply
Those who are part of any skill apprenticeship, internship or student training program under the schemes of the Central or State Government will not be eligible for this scheme. Those who have completed apprenticeship or are taking training at any time under the National Apprenticeship Training Program or National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme will also not be able to apply.
