Recently, a case of gang rape of a minor came to light in Jobat police station area. The police have registered an FIR and arrested the accused. When it came to light that the accused were related to politicians, Jitu Patwari and MLA Vikrant Bhuria came to meet the victim’s family. It is alleged that the photo of the meeting with the victim’s family was shared on the social media accounts of both the leaders. By sharing the photo on social media, the identity of the victim’s family was exposed. Jobat police has registered an FIR against both the leaders. According to Alirajpur SP Rajesh Vyas, revealing the identity of the victim’s family in a rape case is a criminal act. Therefore, a case has been registered against both the leaders in Jobat police station. Jitu Patwari and Vikrant Bhuria are in trouble SP said that if the crime is proven against PCC President Jitu Patwari and MLA Vikrant Bhuria, there is a provision of punishment ranging from 6 months to 2 years. He told that FIR has been registered under different sections. In some sections, there is a provision of punishment of 6 months while in some sections, the punishment can be up to 2 years. Rajesh Vyas told that in the picture uploaded on social media, Vikrant Bhuria is sitting on one side, Jitu Patwari is sitting on the other side and the gangrape victim’s mother is sitting in the middle. Alirajpur police registered the case He said that the photo was taken by someone else. However, the photo has not been uploaded on his social media account. Therefore, a case has been registered against both of them. Police have registered a case after the matter came to their notice but investigation is yet to be done. In this case, the police will send notices to both the accused. After the notice is served, answers will be sought from both. After the reply, the criminal case will reach the court.
