Maharashtra Weather News: The Meteorological Department has predicted unseasonal rain in some areas of the state for two days from today. There may be light rain in some areas of Central, South Gujarat and Saurashtra, there is a possibility of unseasonal rain in Gir Somnath and Bhavnagar of Saurashtra today. After the forecast, mango ripening farmers in Gir Somnath are worried.
Vadodara and Bharuch in Central Gujarat may also receive sporadic rain today. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of light rain in Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman and Dadranagar Haveli. Amidst the forecast of monsoon, the heat wave is continuously increasing in the state. The maximum temperature in Surendranagar and Vallabhvidyanagar has crossed 40 degrees, while in seven cities the maximum temperature has crossed 37 degrees.
The Meteorological Department estimates that another phase of extreme heat will begin in the state from April 15. The maximum temperature in Ahmedabad has reached 38.4 degrees, in Gandhinagar the temperature has crossed 38 degrees.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is expected in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Central Maharashtra in the next 24 hours. During this period, strong winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour.
The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorm in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Saturday. There is a possibility of lightning along with strong winds in some parts of Vidarbha.
According to Skymet Weather report, there may be light to moderate rain with thunder, dust storm and lightning in Rajasthan. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of hailstorm in some areas. During this period, there will be a slight drop in the temperature of the state.
The Meteorological Department has said that strong winds along with lightning may occur in Uttarakhand, Western Uttar Pradesh, Central Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, Lakshadweep. There is a possibility of thunder and lightning in states like Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Coastal Karnataka.
