1) Mixed Vegetable Paratha
Ingredients
1 kg wheat flour
Ghee, for shallow frying
For masala:
1 teaspoon rock salt
1 teaspoon red chili powder< br />1 teaspoon garam masala
A pinch of cumin, roasted
A pinch of asafoetida
1/2 urad dal papad (mashed), fried
For Mix Parantha:
1 tbsp paneer, grated
1 tbsp peas, grated
1 tbsp radish, grated
1 tbsp carrot, grated
1 tbsp cauliflower (roasted with turmeric), grated
1 tbsp papad (mashed), fried
How to make Mixed Vegetable Parantha?
1. Make small round balls from the dough.
2. Roll it in the shape of paratha and apply some ghee and sprinkle spices.
3. Now place the stuffing in the middle and fold.
4. Roll it again and shallow fry it on high flame while turning it on the pan.
5. Once cooked, serve with vegetables, pickles or chutneys.
2) South Indian Appe
Ingredients
1 cup dosa/idli batter (or mixture of ground rice and urad dal soaked overnight)
1/4 cup onion
1/4 cup carrot, grated
1/4 cup Coriander leaves
1/2 tsp ginger, grated
1/2 tsp cumin
Salt to taste, oil for cooking
How to make South Indian style appe?
1. In a mixing bowl, mix the dosa or idli batter with chopped onion, grated carrot, chopped coriander leaves, grated ginger, cumin and salt to taste. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
2. Heat the appe pan on medium flame and apply some oil on each mould.
3. Once the pan is hot, pour the batter into each mold, filling each mold about three-fourths full.
4. Cover the pan with a lid and let the appe cook for about 2-3 minutes.
5. When the edges of the appe start turning brown and crunchy, use a spoon or fork to turn each appe.
6. Let the other half of the appe cook for 2-3 minutes or until it turns golden brown.
7. Take out the appe from the pan and keep it in a plate.
8. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or dip.
3) Bread Cheela
Ingredients
1/2 cup gram flour
2 tbsp chopped onion
2 tbsp carrot
1 tsp red chilli powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 bread slices
Bread Chilla How to make?
1.Take a bowl and add gram flour, red chilli powder, black pepper and salt as per taste.
2.Now add the remaining vegetables like onion, capsicum, tomato. , Finely chop the carrots and add them to the dry mixture.
3.Now add some water to the bowl and mix it all. Make sure the consistency of the batter is thin.
4. Now take a bread and dip it in the gram flour solution.
5. Put some oil on the pan and cook the bread from both the sides. When it turns golden brown, serve and enjoy with ketchup or chutney.
