IMD Rain Update: Monsoon rains have caused devastation in many states of the country. Especially because of the rains in the northern parts, there is water everywhere. On Tuesday (July 11), Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab got some respite due to stoppage of rain for some time. Due to this rain, the maximum damage has been done in Himachal Pradesh only.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu told ABP News that we have opened the route to Manali and about 1000 vehicles have left. Will drive out 80 to 90 percent tourists by 4 pm on Wednesday. I myself am sitting in the disaster control room of Kullu. I am monitoring the whole situation.
What did the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh say?
He told that PM Modi had called and asked for help, but no help has been received so far. There has been a loss of about 4000 crores, it is expected to increase further. There has been a huge loss of water schemes due to the rain. CM said that if the rain stops for the next 8 hours, we will save all the stranded tourists. We rescued 7 people from Chandratal, in which 2 were elderly, one youth, one girl, one child.
In which states there is a possibility of heavy rain
The IMD said on Tuesday that extremely heavy rainfall activity is likely to continue over Uttarakhand and adjoining West Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday and reduce thereafter. From July 12, rains will decrease in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana and Chandigarh. On the other hand, there is a possibility of very heavy rains in Northeast India and Sikkim and there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh till July 13 and after that it will reduce.

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for 12 July in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Sikkim, Meghalaya. While Orange Alert has been issued in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh. On July 13, Orange Alert has been issued in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Sikkim, Meghalaya.
Rain in Uttar Pradesh for the next five days
Monsoon rains are continuing in most parts of Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in many parts of the state for the next five days. According to the report of the Meteorological Center, Lucknow, it is expected to rain at almost all places in Uttar Pradesh till the next 15th July. During this, heavy to very heavy rain may occur at many places in the western parts of the state.
4 people died due to stone fall in Uttarakhand
Disaster Management Secretary of Uttarakhand Ranjit Sinha told that Orange and Yellow alerts have been issued in some districts. The Chief Minister has also visited many places and seen how work is being done. An accident took place in Uttarkashi in which 4 people died and 7 were injured when stones fell on 3 vehicles. No such incident happened anywhere else. We are warning the passengers not to go anywhere where there is a possibility of stone fall.
How is the situation in Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana?
of Chandigarh Scientist in Meteorological Department Ajay Kumar Singh told that Monsoon rains will continue in Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana, but there will not be continuous rains like last 3 days. It will continue to rain normally. On July 8, 302 mm of rain was recorded in Chandigarh. Monsoon activity will continue in 25 percent parts of Punjab.
Yamuna river water level increased in Delhi
The water level of the Yamuna river crossed the 206-metre mark in Delhi on Tuesday, triggering the work of shifting people living in flood-prone areas to safer places. Officials said that as a precautionary measure, the Old Railway Bridge has been closed for road and rail traffic.
