The joint statement read, “The Muslim Personal Law, which is based on the Sharia Application Act 1937, is linked to the religious identity of Muslims in our country. Most of these orders are proved by the verses of Quran Majeed and authentic hadiths. That’s why there is a consensus of the Ummah on him.
It read, “Therefore, the Muslim community of India unanimously demands from the Government to give up the intention of bringing Uniform Civil Code affecting Muslim Personal Law and to give fundamental rights to all citizens of the country to practice their religion.” Respect the freedom that is given by the constitution.
‘We will never accept Uniform Civil Code’
It further wrote, “Muslims are requested to respond to the opinion sought from the citizens of the country regarding the Uniform Civil Code by the 22nd Law Commission in India.” Make it clear in your answer that we never accept Uniform Civil Code. Try that before July 14, every organization on behalf of its organization and every person in his personal capacity should send his answer to the Law Commission through e-mail or any other means.
