TMC On Governor: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has once again made a big allegation against West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose. TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said that the Governor is a BJP cadre, who only visits the houses of the workers of the saffron party. Ghosh claimed that opposition parties were using Bose to campaign for the July 8 elections.
The Governor is on a tour to meet people affected by the recent violence during the nomination period for the upcoming Panchayat elections. He visited Cooch Behar on Saturday (July 1) and had earlier visited Bhangar and Canning. Only after this Kunal Ghosh took a jibe at him.
‘BJP is using the governor’
Kunal Ghosh said, “The Governor of Bengal is not following Raj Dharma. He is being used by the opposition parties to campaign for votes. He did not meet or speak to the families of TMC workers who were killed. I What should be said? CV Anand Bose is one BJP cadre.”
‘Black flags have to be faced’
Kunal Ghosh also warned that the Bengal governor would “face black flags” wherever he went after the elections. Ghosh’s remarks came just three days after Bose was shown black flags by workers of the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP), the student wing of the TMC, when his convoy was on its way to the North Bengal University.
Even before this, Kunal Ghosh has made similar allegations against the governor. He had said, “He (Governor) is behaving like a member of the BJP. I respect his position, but if the Governor engages in the words of the opposition, we will strongly oppose him.”
