UP News: Due to lack of electricity in Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar District Hospital of Etawah, the problems of the patients increased. Despite the arrangement of generators, inverters and solar energy in the hospital, there was darkness all around. Due to the strong storm that came late in the evening, there was a power failure in the hospital. The premises of the district hospital plunged into darkness. To beat the sweltering heat, fans were seen waving with their hands. Actually, the neem tree had fallen on the electric wires. There was no electricity till late night. The doctors had to stitch the patient by lighting a torch. Darkness was visible everywhere from the staff room to the patients’ wards.
Hospital patients in trouble
When the patient was seen in the light of the mobile, he was seen fanning with his hands somewhere. Due to slow light in the emergency OT, the doctor had to burn the mobile and solder it. Somewhere in the wards of the hospital, inverter was seen working. But due to non-functioning of the fan, the patients and their relatives were seen sweating profusely. Alternative arrangements have been made for lighting in the district hospital. Generator, inverter and solar power facilities are available.
Darkness all around
Despite that, darkness continued to spread everywhere in the hospital. Patients admitted to the hospital told that due to non-availability of electricity for the last one hour, they had to face a lot of trouble. No staff is cooperating on getting information. CMS Rajkishore, in-charge of the district hospital, says that due to the storm, the neem tree had broken and fell on the electric wire. Because of which the electricity has gone out but there is a system of inverters in the hospital. Patients in the hospital do not have any kind of problem. The electrical wiring will be rectified as soon as possible.
