The statement of the Ministry of External Affairs said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi Will go on an official visit to America next month, which includes a state banquet program on 22 June 2023. His visit is taking place at the invitation of US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. It has been said that this visit of PM Modi will provide a valuable opportunity to further deepen the overall and progressive global strategic alliance of the two countries.
The ministry, however, did not give details of the duration of PM Modi’s visit. Knowledgeable officials related to the preparations for the tour told that the program of his visit to America is still being worked out. There is a possibility that his visit may start from June 21 and may be of four days duration.

According to the statement, during the visit, Modi and Biden will have the opportunity to review bilateral issues of common interest including business, technology, education, industry, clean energy, defence, security, healthcare, research, people-to-people contacts. . It said that the two leaders will explore ways to strengthen the India-US alliance and increase cooperation in multilateral fora including the G20.

At the same time, the White House said that US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will welcome PM Modi in the US for an official state visit. White House Press Secretary K Jean-Pierre told that the President will host a dinner in honor of PM Modi on June 22. He said that this visit of the Indian Prime Minister will further strengthen the deep and close partnership between the two countries.
