Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 3 Voting: Lok Sabha Elections Voting for two phases has been completed, now voting for the third phase will be held on Tuesday (7th May). Actually, voting will start from 7 am on 93 seats in 12 states. Gujarat (25 seats), Uttar Pradesh (10), Maharashtra (11), Assam (4), Bihar (5), Chhattisgarh (7), Goa (2), Karnataka (14), Madhya Pradesh (8), West Voting will be held on 1-1 seats of Bengal (4), Dadra-Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. The thing to be mentioned here is that the candidate has been elected unopposed on one of the 26 seats in Gujarat. Because of this, votes will be cast only on 25 seats in Gujarat.
What are the arrangements?
All necessary arrangements have been made by the Election Commission of India for the third phase. Polling parties have been sent to the polling stations. Also, security is tight at every nook and corner of the polling booth. Apart from this, schools and colleges will remain closed in the Lok Sabha seats where voting will take place. Besides, government offices will also remain closed.
How many candidates are contesting the elections?
The fate of a total of 1,332 candidates will be decided in the third phase. Out of 93 Lok Sabha seats, BJP alone has fielded candidates on 82 seats. After this, 79 candidates of BSP and 68 candidates of Congress are contesting the elections, out of which maximum 266 candidates are in the fray on 25 seats in Gujarat.
PM Modi and Amit Shah will vote
Prime Minister Modi will cast his vote in the third phase. PM Modi will cast his vote at 7:30 am on Tuesday at Nishan Vidyalaya, Ranip. Apart from this, BJP candidate from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will vote, he will vote at 9:15 at a polling booth in Narayan Pura.
These issues attracted attention in the third phase
In fact, the issue of Karnataka’s sex scandal, reservation and terrorism dominated the third phase of election campaign. Only after the second phase of voting, some obscene videos of expelled JDS leader Prajwal Revanna came out, due to which politics intensified.
