Himachal Pradesh Election 2024: There are Lok Sabha elections in Himachal Pradesh in the seventh and last phase. Along with elections for all four seats, by-elections are also to be held in six assembly constituencies. The process of filing nominations has started from Tuesday. On the first day, four candidates filed their nominations for the Lok Sabha elections. Not a single nomination has been filed for the assembly by-election on the first day.
According to the information received from the State Election Commission, on Tuesday, Ramesh Chand Sarathi (50), son of Roshan Lal, village Gindpur, post office Gindpur Malaun, tehsil Bharwain, district Una, filed his nomination as an independent candidate for Hamirpur parliamentary constituency. , while Anil Kumar (31), son of Laik Ram, village Ghundvi, post office Halahan, sub-tehsil Ronhat, district Sirmaur filed his nomination as Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate from Shimla parliamentary constituency.
Not a single nomination for assembly by-election
For Mandi parliamentary constituency, Mahesh Kumar Saini (45) son of Besar Ram Saini, village Sihan, Post Office Gagal, Tehsil Balh, District Mandi has joined Himachal Janata Party and Ashutosh Mahant (38) son of Tara Chand Mahant, Post Office Dhalpur, Hanumani Bagh, District Kullu. Filed his nomination as an independent candidate. No nomination was filed for Kangra parliamentary constituency on the first day. On the first day of nomination, not a single nomination was filed for the by-elections to be held for six assembly constituencies.
Voting is to be held in Himachal on June 1
in Himachal Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections And nominations for the assembly by-election can be filed till May 14. Nominations will be filed from 11 am to 3 pm. In Himachal Pradesh, Lok Sabha elections are to be held in the last phase on June 1. Voting will start at 7 am on June 1 and voters will be able to cast their votes till 6 pm.
