‘4 hours distance, but it took four decades for a PM to come here’, PM said at Hala Modi event

PM Modi Kuwait Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi On a two-day visit to Kuwait. Addressing the community program ‘Hala Modi’ on Saturday (December 21, 2024), the Prime Minister said that looking at the crowd at the program, he felt as if he had seen a “little India” in front of him. During this, PM Modi also said that the distance of Kuwait from India is only 4 hours but it took 4 decades for any PM to come here.

PM Modi said, “This moment is very special for me. After more than four decades, i.e. 43 years, an Indian Prime Minister has come to Kuwait. It takes 4 hours to come here from India, but it takes 4 decades for the Prime Minister to come here. Got it.” He further said, “I have just reached Kuwait two and a half hours ago. Ever since I have stepped here, I have been feeling a different kind of belonging, a different warmth all around. You all have come from different states of India. But after seeing all of you, it seems as if a small India has appeared in front of me.”

PM Modi praised India-Kuwait relations

Praising the relations between India and Kuwait, the Prime Minister said that both the countries are connected not only by diplomacy but also by hearts. He said, “India and Kuwait have a relationship of civilizations, sea and trade. India and Kuwait are situated on two sides of the Arabian Sea. We are connected not only by diplomacy but also by hearts. Not only our present but our The past also connects us.”

‘India has new technology for Kuwait’

He said, “Hundreds of Indians visit Kuwait every year; you have added the Indian touch to Kuwaiti society. You have filled the canvas of Kuwait with the colors of Indian skills, including the essence of India’s talent, technology and tradition.” He also said that India has the manpower, skills and technology required for the ‘new Kuwait’.
