Maharashtra Shocker: A 16-year-old boy committed suicide after losing the race in the Divisional Games in Maharashtra’s Nagpur. A police officer gave this information on Sunday.

NCRB released data regarding suicide among students
Recently, the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) has released statistics on the number of suicides among students across the country. There are many such examples from across the country, where youth have committed suicide due to not getting success in their career. Kota, Rajasthan, which is called the coaching hub of the country, has seen many cases of suicides by students aspiring to pursue a career in medicine or engineering.

Data released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) on suicide cases revealed that there has been an increase in the number of suicide deaths of students in recent years.

Most suicide cases in Maharashtra
With a total of 13,089 cases of suicide by students, the new data shows that the number has increased by about 4.5 per cent in 2021 as compared to 2020. Most of these suicide cases are from these five states including Maharashtra. NCRB told in its report that maximum number of suicide cases have been reported in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Odisha.
