The Jury Committee of the institution has appointed senior BJP leader from Tamil Nadu H.V. Hande and senior Congress leader M Veerappa Moily from Karnataka "Nominated for the “Lifetime Achievement” award.
With this, four committees of Parliament related to agriculture, finance, education and labor will be given awards for their contribution.
According to the statement, Supriya Sule of NCP, NK of Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP). Premachandran and Shiv Sena’s Srirang Appa Barne to be given the ‘Sansad Vishisht Ratna’ award for their stellar performance
Sansad Ratna Awards Committee chaired by Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and co-chaired by former Chief Election Commissioner T S Krishnamurthy.
It is a private award instituted in 2010 by ‘Prime Point Foundation’ and e-magazine Presense. The first award program was held in Chennai in 2010. So far 75 MPs have been awarded this award.
